Partnership ads

Creator content, served from the creator's handle: Spark Ads on TikTok, partnership ads across Instagram and Facebook. On TikTok, paid-run likes, comments, shares and follows accrue to the creator's original post (TikTok, June 2026).

Scope

  • We request Spark Ads authorization codes for the window the test needs. Creators choose 7, 30, 60 or 365 days (TikTok, October 2025).

  • We request and track Meta partnership ad permissions, which come at content level or account level and which creators can revoke at any time (Meta, read 6 Oct 2026).

  • We agree usage rights in writing before filming: placements, duration, whose handle the ads run from and what edits are allowed.

  • We set up disclosure on every post, including TikTok's commercial content setting, which labels the post as a paid partnership (TikTok, April 2026).

  • We run the same creative from the brand's account as a control when the test calls for it.

FAQ

Is this the same as whitelisting?

Whitelisting is industry slang for running ads through a creator's account. Meta's term is partnership ads, formerly branded content ads (Meta, read 6 Oct 2026), and TikTok's closest equivalent is Spark Ads.

What happens when an authorization window ends?

Every window is tracked against the campaign calendar, and renewal is requested before a live ad's window expires.
